Total Time: 30 minutes Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Servings: 4
2 cups of cooked lentils (I use a blend of black and green)
1/2 cup of beet juice
1 tbs of vital wheat gluten
1/3 cup of nutritional yeast
1 tbs of corn starch
3 tbs of soy sauce
4 whole wheat buns
4 leaves of green leaf lettuce
8 slices of tomatoes
Ketchup and/or mustard to taste
1.Place ingredients listed from lentils to soy sauce in a blender and puree until mixture is completely smooth. Let sit for 10 minutes.
2.Heat a large frying pan on medium-high heat and drizzle with oil.
3. Mold patties into 34 equal sized patties and place in pan. Cook for approximately 5 minutes per side or until each side is browned.
4. Place onto buns and let sit for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Optional: top with sliced tomatoes, lettuce and ketchup or mustard.
