Vegan Coffee French Toast
Total Time: 1 Hour | Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 55 Minutes | Servings: 5
10 slices of whole wheat bread
4 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tbsp of ground coffee
Optional: maple syrup for garnish
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, add unsweetened vanilla almond milk and 1 tbsp of ground coffee. Mix well and heat on low heat for 15 minutes. Set aside and let milk cool.
2. Heat a large frying pan to medium heat. Pour milk into a large, shallow glass bowl. Dip each piece of bread into almond milk until completely soaked through. Place in frying pan for 3 minutes each side or until brown on each side. Repeat until all pieces have been cooked.
3. Serve immediately and garnish with maple syrup or portion into tupperware for meal prep.
