Parmesan Cauliflower Steaks

Parmesan Cauliflower Steaks

Total Time: 40 Minutes | Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Cook Time: 30 Minutes | Servings: 4

1 medium head of cauliflower
Sunflower oil
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of dried parsley
1/2 tsp of paprika
1 tbsp of nutritional yeast

1. Preheat oven to 425F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. To make spice blend, add onion powder, parsley, paprika and nutritional yeast to a small bowl.  Mix well.

3. Wash cauliflower and remove leaves.  Slice cauliflower into approximately 1/2" thick slices.  Cauliflower should yield approximately 5-6 pieces. 

4. Add cauliflower slices to a baking sheet and drizzle with sunflower oil.  Brush to coat each slice well. 

5. Sprinkle half of the spice mixture over cauliflower, coating well.  Set the other half aside.

6. Bake for 15 minutes. 

7. Remove cauliflower from oven.  Flip each cauliflower steak and brush with sunflower oil.  Top with the remaining spices.

8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cauliflower is tender. 

9. Remove from oven and let cool.  Serve and enjoy!
