Vegan Buffalo Tempeh Wings

Vegan Buffalo Tempeh Wings

Total Time: 50 Minutes | Prep Time:10 Minutes | Cook Time: 40 Minutes | Servings: 2

Ingredients
8oz of tempeh
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 tsp of paprika
2 tsp of onion powder
1 cup of plant milk (I'm using almond milk)
1 and 1/2 cups of panko
1 cup of vegan buffalo sauce

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cut tempeh into strips and then cut each strip in half to create wings.  Set aside.

3. In a shallow bowl, combine all purpose flour, paprika, onion powder and plant milk.  Mix well.  In a separate bowl, add in about 3/4 cup of panko.  Note: To help prevent the panko clumping as you batter the tempeh, add more panko in gradually.

4. Dip each piece of tempeh into batter and then into the panko mixture, making sure it is well coated.  Add tempeh wings to baking sheet.  Bake for 40 minutes, flipping after 20 minutes.  Remove from oven and let cool.

5. Once cooled, add vegan buffalo sauce to a bowl and add in tempeh wings and coat well.

6. Serve and enjoy!
